Founded in 1992 by Lica and Masahiro Nakagawa, 20471120 was born out of the burgeoning Japanese Harajuku subculture. While the brand folded in 2003, 20471120’s vision of dress and attitude influenced by music and anime culture lives on through a new generation. 

The rise of street style brought the influence of Harajuku culture on fashion to the rest of the world. 20471120 quickly became a harbinger of this novel, futuristic style. The brand’s name itself is a reference to the future date November 20th, 2047. 20471120’s brand mascot, dubbed Hyoma, has become the signature of the brand’s look. Hyoma is a cheeky anime-inspired character and is often seen on many of the brand’s graphic tees, which are increasingly difficult to find.
